The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is pleased to announce the return of Dr. Angus McBryde after 6 years as Director of the Ankle and Foot Fellowship at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, AL.
Dr. McBryde has been performing foot and ankle surgeries across the Southeast for over 40 years. He first served as Assistant Professor at Duke University Medical Center. He has since served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at both the University of South Alabama and the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Dr. McBryde also has international experience working several global sporting events, including the 1987 World Games and two Olympic Games.
From 2000 to 2005, Dr. McBryde worked for the University of South Carolina as Professor and Director of USC Sports Medicine. As Director, he helped establish the program and grow it into the extensive program that it is today. Dr. McBryde’s focus continues to be ankle and foot surgeries of all types, with a passion for sports injuries.
